  • Children In Need

    Fri 07 Nov 2014

On Friday 14th November 2014 the school will be taking part in the BBC’s Children In Need appeal. The theme for the day will be“Superheroes!” We will be raising money by having a non-uniform day and asking children to donate £1 if they do so. We would like children (and staff!) to dress as a superhero for the day, either one they know of from a film, TV show, book or a comic or they can make up their own superhero and dress up for the day. We will be having a competition to find the best superhero costume in each phase with special prizes for the winners. There will also be other competitions such as a design a Superhero poster!

Class 2R will be leading our assembly at 9am which will be about how the children can be superheroes and help Children In Need.

  • Shakespeare

    Wed 05 Nov 2014

Well done to 5G and Mr Genner who took part in the Schools Shakespeare Festival at the Midlands Art Centre on Wednesday November 5th. Along with two other schools, the class took part in a performance of a Shakespeare play which they performed in the evening to a theatre full of paying customers! 5G performed “Julius Caesar” and were praised for their clear voices, their confident acting and how well they put the whole production together. There were lots of parents there who were very proud of the children’s performance. Well done to all of 5G and thank you to Mr Genner, Miss Martin, Mr Hughes and Miss Latif who gave up their evening and stayed until 10pm to take them and bring them back to school.

STOP PRESS – We have rearranged some of the Friday class assemblies and 5G will now be performing their “Julius Caesar” production to the school and parents again at 9am on Friday 21st November 2014. If you couldn’t attend the performance at the MAC please come and do so in school on the 21st November.Friday 17th October 2014

Thank you to all our families for all the donations you have sent in ahead of our Harvest Assembly on Friday 17th October. You have been extremely generous and we will be passing on all the donations to the Birmingham City Mission who are collecting food for the elderly, homeless and others in need in the city.
