    Dear Parents

As you know, we have been holding a ballot to elect two Parent Governors to the school Governing Board. The ballot closed at 4.00pm on Friday 11th February and all the ballot papers have been counted.

Thank you to all the parents who voted. The results were as follows:

    Ruby Kauser

    Rachel Walsh

     42

    Naila Zaman

     53

I'd like to thank all of the nominees who put themselves forward for election. Congratulations to Alesha Hussain and Naila Zaman on being elected as a parent governor. I look forward to welcoming them both to the next meeting of the Governing Board next half term and I am sure they will do a wonderful job representing parents on the Governing Board.

Thank you to Rachel Walsh and Ruby Kauser for standing and commiserations that you weren't successful on this occasion.

Thank you especially to Ruby Kauser for all your hard work and support and the time you have given up as a parent governor over the last four years. Ruby has done an excellent job in representing all parents on the Governing Board including meeting with the Ofsted inspector during her visit in December. I'm sure all the parents would lke me to thank her on their behalf and wish her well for the future.
  • Travelling Book Fair

    Mon 07 Feb 2022

    Dear Parents,

We have the Travelling Book Fair in school from the 7th Feb – 18th February. This is an opportunity for the children to purchase their own book or books! The Book Fair will be open during the school day only.

A list of the books available have been sent home with your child. If your child would like to purchase a book/s, then please send them to school with the correct amount of money as we will have limited change. All money should be in a bag, labelled with your child’s name. We will allow cash payments for the Book Fair only during this period.

Your child will also be bringing home a World Book Day Voucher this week, which can be redeemed against any book of £2.99 or more from the Book Fair.

Thank you for your continued support.

  • Children's Mental Health Week 2022

    Mon 07 Feb 2022

    Dear Parents

We are proud to be supporting Children’s Mental Health Week 2020 from Monday 7th February 2022 - Friday 11th February 2022. We are encouraging children to look after their bodies and minds, focussing on what we want to do and deal with difficult times. The focus of the week will be ‘growing together’. This will involve children finding positive ways to deal with things that might be difficult, overcoming physical and mental challenges and looking after themselves. Growing Togetheris about growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Challenges and setbacks can help us to grow and adapt and trying new things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone new possibilities. During the week, we will be raising the profile of positive mental health through a variety of activities and assemblies.

Friday 11th February will be non-uniform day. The theme is ‘dress to impress.’ Please can children use clothing from home to express themselves and donate £1.50 via squid. Children can should wear their favourite colour or a unique outfit to express how they’re feeling. It can be as simple as you like!

If you would also like any further information, Place2Be has created helpful advice and resources for parents and carers, which you can find on their website: https://www.place2be.org.uk/about-us/children-s-mental-health-week/

Thank you for supporting Children’s Mental Health Week 2022 and helping us to grow together!

    Yours sincerely

    Miss R McDonald
