7. How will my child be involved in decisions about their learning?

The school will try to involve your child in decisions about their learning.

  • Teachers will talk to your child about their targets and involve them in reviewing their progress.

  • We will talk to the children about what and how they prefer to learn.

  • We will involve the children in helping teachers to plan their curriculum.

  • Staff and teaching assistants will record and monitor child’s viewpoint and progress.

  • Staff will make detailed observations of the youngest children to ensure we know them well – their interests/strengths/areas of support needed.

  • Pupil voice questionnaires will be carried out with older children.

  • We will use Pupil friendly review paperwork.
