Year 4

Welcome to Year 4. This page will be used to provide parents and children with information about what we have been doing in school. You will find links to support with English and Maths and information about extra curricular activities. If you need to discuss anything about your child, you are always welcome to contact your child's teacher or Mrs Vara through the school's enquiry email.

Times of the School Day

8:30 - 8.55 - Start of the Day activity and registration

8:55 - 9:00 - Collective worship

9:00 - 9.45 - Reading

9.45 - 10:00 -  Handwriting

10:00 - 11:00 - English

11:00 - 11.15 - Break 

11.15 - 12.15 - Maths

12:15 - 12:30 - Fluency Bee

12.30 - 12.45 - Class book

12:45 - 13:30 - Lunch

13.30 - 14.30 - Topic

14:30 - 14:40 - Spelling

14:40 - 15:00 - End of the day activity

P.E (Thursday) - Please make sure children have the correct P.E. kit 

PE will take place every Thursday morning for both classes.

Thursday - Year 4 will have guitar lessons.

Computing -

Computing will take place every Thursday afternoon for both classes. 

*Book change for children in year 4 will be on Friday. Please remind children to bring their book bags in everyday! Remember to practise reading at home. Make sure that children complete Accelerated Reader quizzes once they have completed a book.

*Homework is set every Friday and must be completed by Monday. If your child has issues logging on or saving work, please inform the class teacher.
