We find out about the Regents Park students' favourite books!

On Wednesday 7th February 2018, we were visited by Alpha Ceesay from Radio WM who came to speak to some of our Y4 children about Lego. He was interested to interview and record them talking about why they like playing with Lego and what they do with it. The recording then appeared on the Radio WM Breakfast Show on Thursday 8th February and you can listen to it again by clicking on the link above. Well done to Alex, Ibrahim, Aisha, Zarah, Mohammed and Ayah from Y4 for being so articulate and making everyone at Regents Park proud!

In Music, Year 3 have been learning about Holst's piece as part of their Roman topic. The ancient Romans believed that Mars was the god of war. How does the composer create the feeling of war in this piece? What else does this piece of music make you think of?

In Music Year 1 have been learning all about 'The Firebird' by Igor Stavinsky. You can listen to 'The Firebird' here.

Year 5 present information about the piece of music 'Short Ride in a Fast Machine' by the composer John Adams. They have been studying this piece of Music as part of their topic on Transport.

This week, Fantastic Mr Fox is read by Amaan in 6R. He has been making excellent progress in reading recently.

Reception learnt all about Halloween in the form of a song. They are such enthusiastic singers! Well done Reception!

Inaaya and Ayla sing 'Wheel on the Bus' with Mrs Dattani. They have been trying so hard in Music lessons, well done girls!

This week some children have been delivering their speeches in assembly in the hope that they will be voted by their classmates to be a member of school council! Listen to this podcast to hear Zaki (5M), Alannah (4R) and Kyam (3M) deliver their speeches! The votes will be cast and counted by the end of next week.
