On behalf of everyone at Regents Park Community Primary School, I’d like to wish all of our children, parents and families a very happy Eid this weekend.
I know that Eid is a very special celebration for many of our children, families and staff. As I write this letter, we are still not exactly sure which day Eid will fall on for our families. It is expected to be on Friday 15th June although I appreciate that this will not be confirmed until Thursday night.
We may have a large number of staff that are absent on Friday due to Eid, so in order to manage this situation in an appropriate way, I have made the decision to close school to all children on Friday 15th June. This will not affect the attendance of any pupils including those children who are not celebrating Eid.
I hope this will be seen as a positive decision for all children and parents and allow families to celebrate this important occasion together.
I’d also like to remind parents that we would like to invite you to our own Eid Mela celebrations on the afternoon of Friday June 29th from 1.00pm until 3.30pm. We would love all parents to attend with their children so encourage you to come and join your children and ourselves for a special celebration.
