Dear Parents/ Carers,
This Friday 23rd May, we will be celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in school!
We will be asking children to come to school in Union Jack colours of red, white and blue (or dressed in Union Jacks themselves!).
There will be activities taking place in school to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee - children will be finding out and writing about the Queen's life, making artwork about the Queen including making a contribution to a Jubilee wall hanging.
At lunchtime we will be having a special "street party" taking place where all children and staff will have a Jubilee picnic outside for lunch. A letter has already gone out to parents about this - children who don't normally have school dinners can also have a Jubilee picnic lunch.
All the children will also receive a book about the Queen to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.
We are hoping for good weather and it will be a lovely way to finish this half term.
Don't forget that the following week is half term holiday and school will be CLOSED from Monday 30th May to Friday 3rd June. We REOPEN on Monday 6th June at 8.40am.
