We will be holding two parents’ evening this term and will operate our established appointment system, giving quality time to talk to teachers.
Parents’ evenings will be on
Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th October 2016
3.15 – 5.35 p.m.
There will be a timed chart with your child’s class teacher. Please put your child’s name next to a time that is suitable for you. If you have more than one child in school, you can time your appointments accordingly, leaving suitable gaps between each one or spread your appointments over both days if that is more convenient. For children in Years 4, 5, 6, 2L & 1S staff will be available outside at the start and end of the day to book your appointment.
This is a good opportunity to speak to your child’s teacher to discuss progress and effort they are making and targets to work on in order to make further progress.
Please do your best to attend.

We will be having a Book Fair and Mrs Jackson will be selling books.
All clubs on Monday and Tuesday will be cancelled but Wednesday & Thursday Clubs will run as usual.

We are sorry to inform you about an enforced school closure that will take place on Monday 12th September 2016. This is due to work which has been undertaken during the summer holidays on the school roof but is not yet completed because of poor weather. It is hoped that by closing the school on Monday builders will be able to finish the work as soon as possible.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the late notice of this school closure and thank you for your support.
We are aware that many pupils will be celebrating Eid-al-Adha on Monday 12th September and wish all our children and families an enjoyable day.
We will reopen on Tuesday 13th September and expect ALL pupils to attend as normal on this day.
Welcome back to all our children and families to Regents Park. We are excited to be opening again for ALL children from Reception to Year 6 on Wednesday 7th September 2016 at 8.40am.
Please make sure you all look smart in your uniforms and that you are in school on time by 8.40am.
Parents please be aware that school will close at 1pm on Friday 22nd July for the Summer holiday. Children will have lunch in school as normal and then be dismissed from class at 1.00pm.
We will re-open for the new academic year at 8.40am on Wednesday 7th September 2016.

We would like to invite the parents of all our Y6 children to their Y6 Leavers Assembly which takes place on Thursday 21st July at 9.30am.
This will be a memorable event for you and your child to treasure so please do come along and support your child in their last Regents Park assembly.

I am writing to inform you about strike action that is being taken by members of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) on 5 July and to advise you about arrangements for the school on that day.
NUT members have voted to take discontinuous strike action. This means there will be a series of strike dates, with the first strike day on Tuesday 5 July 2016. The NUT has said that further strike days could follow in the autumn term.
Why has the NUT called a strike?
The NUT states that its strike action is over two issues - school funding and the deregulation of national pay and conditions for teachers.
What does this mean for our school?
Teachers in our school who are members of the NUT may choose to be on strike on 5 July and on subsequent dates in the autumn term if the dispute is not resolved by then.
How will this affect my children?
As head teacher, I am responsible, in consultation with the chair of governors, for deciding what will happen in our school on the day of the strike. Because it is not clear at the moment how many teachers who are members of the NUT may be taking strike action, the decision I have made is that the school must be closed to all pupils for that day.
I appreciate that closing the school will cause inconvenience for families and it is not a decision that I have taken lightly. I can assure you that in forming my decision I have taken into account the well-being of all pupils and their families and school staff.
