  • Eid Letter for Parents - June 23rd 2017

    Fri 23 Jun 2017

On behalf of everyone at Regents Park Community Primary School, I’d like to wish all of our children, parents and families a very happy Eid this weekend.

I know that Eid is a very special celebration for many of our children and families. However, as I write this letter, we are still not sure which day Eid will fall on for our families. It is expected to be on Sunday 25th June although I appreciate that this will not be confirmed until Saturday.

If Eid is on Sunday then school will be open as normal on Monday and we will expect ALL children to attend. Any children who are absent will be marked as unauthorised unless parents provide evidence of illness or medical appointments or other authorised circumstances.

If Eid is on Monday then school will still be open as normal; however, pupils celebrating Eid will be allowed one day’s authorised absence for Religious Observance. Pupils who are not celebrating Eid will be expected to attend as normal; again, any child who is expected to be in school but who is absent will be marked as unauthorised unless parents provide evidence of illness or medical appointments.

I’d also like to remind parents that we would like to invite you to our own Eid Mela celebrations on Tuesday afternoon (27th June) from 1.00pm until 3.30pm. We would love all parents to attend with their children so encourage you to come and join your children and ourselves for a special celebration.

    Have a wonderful Eid everybody!

  • POLLING DAY - SCHOOL CLOSURES

    Wed 26 Apr 2017

As you are already aware, school will be closed to all children (except Year 6) on Thursday May 4th 2017 due to the site being used as a polling station for the Mayoral elections.

In addition the school will also closed to ALL pupils for the same reason on Thursday 6th June 2017 due to the General Election.

This is unfortunate and disruptive for parents and for children's learning and we apologise for any inconvenience.
